We love the diversity of the students that make up our sixth form. The academic and community centred culture that exists really creates a positive environment to study. We’re very proud of our 2024 results and we, and our students, are working hard to further improve these. Our Kenya social action trips have been a huge highlight over the past couple of years and we’re already looking forward to visiting again in 2025.
We are thrilled that you are considering Chesterton as your next step and becoming an integral member of our community. We are fully committed to providing a unique and forward thinking sixth form experience; one that prepares students with the necessary experiences and skills to thrive in an ever changing world.
We are committed to providing an academic, enriching and aspirational A-Level offer in the north of Cambridge city which builds on Chesterton Community College’s excellent provision, judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in 2017. Our links with local stakeholders allows Chesterton Sixth Form to develop into thriving community hub.
Students at Chesterton Sixth Form will benefit from exceptionally well-qualified, expert teaching staff working with small classes; an outstanding super-curricular offer designed to make the most of our proximity to Cambridge city; an approach to study which encourages independence, with the freedom to come and go from our campus during the college day; bespoke, individualised support with university and college applications throughout their time with us, and a wide range of opportunities to design, develop and lead on initiatives such as student executives and social committees.
In addition, our pastoral programme ensures students receive a holistic offer, through daily contact with their sixth form tutor, with our small cohort size meaning every student is truly well-known.
We look forward to welcoming students and their parents to our launch event and open evening on Tuesday 22nd October.
In the meantime, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us with any questions—we’d be really happy to talk to you!
